Stoneham Historical Commission and Museum Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
The Stoneham Chamber of Commerce will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony for the Stoneham Historical Society and Museum on Thursday, May 10 at 6:30PM. The ceremony is being held at the Museum at 36 William Street to celebrate the renovation of their building. In addition to the ceremony, award-winning author, Ellen Alden, will be speaking about her historical novel, "Yours Faithfully, Florence Burke," based on the letters of her great great grandfather--an Irish immigrant from Massachusetts who served in the Union Army during the Civil War.
The Stoneham Historical Society and Museum is an all-volunteer organization founded in 1922. Their mission is to study the history of the Town of Stoneham; to collect and preserve articles of historic interest pertaining to the town; and to maintain a Historical Library and Museum
